The new IOSH Managing and Working Safely courses is turning traditional training on its head, it’s not about teaching it’s about learning. The courses are designed to inspire learners, getting them engaged with health and safety. The course uses a combination of board games, quizzes, animated presentations and DVD’s to engage the learners.

IOSH Managing Safely

Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too. The course lasts for 24 hours in total. Managing Safely can be delivered over a full week or on single days or as an evening course and has eight modules: Programme

Assessing risks
Controlling risks
Understanding your responsibilities
Identifying hazards
Investigating accidents and incidents
Measuring performance
Protecting our environment

Certification
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.

IOSH Working Safely

Working Safely is a one-day course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. It provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety – everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ and this course offers exactly that. Working Safely introduces a completely new approach to health and safety training and offers all the basics in a high impact interactive package.

Module 3 - Identifying common hazards
Module 4 - Improving safety performance
Module 5 - Protecting our environment

Certification
